"Through Aeona, I am contributing to the wellbeing of the planet. I inspire people to do the things that inspire them. I believe everyone can do work they love and love their life. I believe that together we can achieve so much more than you or I can on our own.

I want people to succeed in work and life, to achieve their dreams and feel fulfilled, to be proud of their workplace and what it stands for. I want senior leaders, executives and business owners to love their work and have a zest for life outside of work and not feel overwhelmed, stressed, or putting their health at risk. I want organisations to be sustainably successful in all measures – not just financial but also as great places where people love to come to work, are proud to belong and contribute, and have high fulfilment and wellbeing." Values

Resonate

Resonating is more than aligning purpose, passion, values, motivation and attitudes. When we are aligned and in harmony can we pull together in the same direction - towards our common purpose. When we resonate we do all that AND create double the energy, enthusiasm and power for action.

Trust

Trust is the invisible glue that makes relationships work - and hence leadership, since leadership happens in relationships between people who are inspired to follow a common purpose.

We work with clients where we trust each other, as we are partnering together to deliver success in terms that are relevant to you. In our coaching sessions and other events, we aim to create an environment of trust that encourages open conversations. We aim to help you feel trust in yourself, your organisation, and your team(s). To know that you all do your parts and together you are heading in the same direction and can rely on each other to do the right thing. Trusting that people will listen, new ideas can be experimented with and when mistakes happen, everyone can learn and grow.

Contribute

Take action and make things happen – for the common purpose and good of the group.

We feel it is important to show up, take part, make things happen and give back to the community. Where we can, Aeona aims to make coaching available to those who have a need but not necessarily resources - for example by running some of our group coaching workshops at a nominal cost to cover expenses. Sue Mitchell volunteers her time and expertise as a committee member of the Association for Coaching Edinburgh events team and as a coach and instructor for regional, national and international training events for the British Sub Aqua Club.

Dignity

We feel everyone is entitled to be treated with respect, empathy and equality.

What we do

"I inspire managers and leaders to do the things that inspire them, their people and their organisation and:

  • Create high performance culture and teams with an environment where all can thrive, work to strengths, trust in each other and know that everyone is pulling together towards the common purpose.
  • Raise engagement as each person chooses to give their best. Gallup and other research demonstrates that organisations with higher engagement deliver better results – e.g.: profitability, productivity, customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Improve resilience, wellbeing and organisational health: people work better together, are happier, healthier and live longer; and organisations are more productive and profitable with higher performance and talent retention.

I work with leaders to grow longer lasting, sustainable success for individuals and the group as a whole.

I work with you to help you make your life and work better with the tools and resources I have. Most important and unique are my independent perspective, inquiring mind and inspiring mix of nurture and challenge. Other resources include proven tools and frameworks which have worked for leaders around the world, which you can use during and between our sessions. (See examples here)" Dr Sue Mitchell

What's in a name?

People often ask where the name Aeona comes from. It is based on the word aeon which is derived from the greek word aion meaning an infinitely long time. Aeona is about helping you make sustainable changes that will last, not just quick fixes that are soon broken again.
